About this video
A case of severe atrophy in the partially edentulous posterior maxilla, involving both vertical and horizontal deficiencies. This presents three challenges: first, sinus pneumatization; second, vertical bone loss due to tooth loss; and third, a palatally positioned alveolar crest resulting from horizontal deficiency. The treatment approach included vertical augmentation through a sinus elevation procedure using xenograft material saturated with PRP, combined with an autologous onlay bone graft, as well as horizontal augmentation using an autologous block bone graft. The entire augmentation area was covered by PPP.

Implant Placement Lateral or Lingual to the Mandibular Canal
Implant Placement Lateral or Lingual to the Mandibular Canal

Implants are strategically positioned buccal or lingual to the neurovascular bundle, secured within the cortical bone at the base of the mandible.

Bilateral Inferior Alveolar Nerve Lateralization and Transposition
Bilateral Inferior Alveolar Nerve Lateralization and Transposition

Lateralization and transposition of the mandibular canal with simultaneous implant placement for fixed prosthetic rehabilitation, including immediate implant placement and provisionalization.

Ridge Preservation, Sinus Augmentation, and Vertical Augmentation with Autologous Bone Graft and Pedicled Buccal Fat Graft in an Infected Site Before Implantation in the Atrophic Posterior Maxilla
Ridge Preservation, Sinus Augmentation, and Vertical Augmentation with Autologous Bone Graft and Pedicled Buccal Fat Graft in an Infected Site Before Implantation in the Atrophic Posterior Maxilla

Comprehensive bone augmentation, including ridge preservation, vertical augmentation with autologous bone graft (OBG), and maxillary sinus augmentation, performed immediately after the removal of infected, failed implants in the posterior atrophic maxilla.
