About this video
This case involves the removal and replacement of failed implants in the left maxillary central and lateral incisors. Without ridge preservation at the time of extraction, significant hard and soft tissue volume loss may occur, complicating future augmentation. To optimize outcomes, the treatment plan includes:
- Immediate ridge preservation at the time of failed implant removal with xenograft material saturated in PRP covered with PPP and resorbable membrane.
- 3D ridge augmentation (vertical and horizontal) using autologous onlay bone block grafts harvested from the mandibular ramus.
- Application of blood-derived materials (PRP and PPP) during both stages to enhance healing and graft integration.
Six months later, implants were placed with connective tissue graft harvested from the palate.

Ridge Preservation Following Removal of Infected Failed Implants, with Secondary Vertical Augmentation Using Autologous Onlay Bone Grafting (AOBG) in the Posterior Mandible
Ridge Preservation Following Removal of Infected Failed Implants, with Secondary Vertical Augmentation Using Autologous Onlay Bone Grafting (AOBG) in the Posterior Mandible
A comprehensive treatment approach for managing chronic infection and severe bone loss in the posterior mandible due to failed implants. The protocol includes immediate ridge preservation with xenograft material (GBR), followed by vertical augmentation using autologous onlay bone grafting, and a final stage of implant placement with connective tissue grafting.

Bilateral Inferior Alveolar Nerve Lateralization
Repositioning of the inferior alveolar nerve laterally in conjunction with dental implant placement.
Bilateral Inferior Alveolar Nerve Lateralization and Transposition
Bilateral Inferior Alveolar Nerve Lateralization and Transposition
Lateralization and transposition of the mandibular canal with simultaneous implant placement for fixed prosthetic rehabilitation, including immediate implant placement and provisionalization.

Auto-transplantation in a congenitally missing permanent tooth
An 11-year-old patient underwent auto-transplantation of an impacted left maxillary premolar to replace a congenitally missing left mandibular second premolar.
